If you are a current undergraduate student, graduate student, faculty, or staff member, you are eligible to join our team!
We accept new team members at the start of both the fall and spring semesters. We live by the “no person left behind” motto and are committed to making this sport accessible to anyone who may be interested. All interested students of any experience level are welcome to join, so don’t worry if you’ve never rowed before.
For those new to the sport, we have a novice team that teaches new athletes from the ground up, including skills for water safety.
For more experienced rowers, and those who have completed their novice year, our varsity team preps for competition at the regional and national level.
If you’re a high school student interested in joining our team, please note that we are not involved in the admission process of CMU, but would still love to hear from you!

In order for the boat to move quickly down the race course, every single person in that boat has to be working together to make that happen.
The skills you learn in this sport are not solely limited to your physical abilities, but are incredibly applicable in your daily life.
